A Taste of Hemel-en-Aarde Arrives in the Maldives

Culinary evening The Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives is looking forward to a special culinary evening when he welcomes an exclusive winemaker dinner on 12 November 2025 at its beachfront restaurant, The Asian Kitchen. The resort will also host the Carolyn Martin, co-owner of the famed Creation Estate in South Africa, who will offer a range of the finest vintages that have ever been produced by the vineyard. Creation is situated in the picturesque Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge and it is known as the pioneer in its methods and a firm belief in environmental accountability as well as its globally renowned Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

The occasion will include a well crafted four course menu by Chef Eddie Ng, the Director of Culinary, Restaurants and Bars at the resort. To emphasize the distinctive nature and cleanness of the terroir of the estate, the dishes have been matched with a Creation wine. The menu will allow guests to start their meal by Crispy Oysters with Creation Rosé 2024 or Shrimp Ceviche with Creation Sauvignon Blanc 2023. This is followed by the soup course which is a Vietnamese-inspired Rolled Salmon with Dill in Clear Soup paired with Creation Viognier 2024.

As their main meal, the customers can either have Lemongrass Chicken Dumplings with Creation Chardonnay 2023 or Slow-braised Beef Short Rib with Creation Pinot Noir 2023. This night ends with Chocolate Marquise paired with Creation Syrah Grenache 2022.

The same experience can be offered to the in-house guests at US 119 per person, and at a lower price of US 69+ to those on all-inclusive or dinner-inclusive packages. Those guests who would like to attend the event can book an accommodation until 12 November, and a variety of villa rooms is at their disposal.
