La Scolca Wine Dinner – 11 August 2023

Celebrated winemaker and CEO of Chiara Soldati will host an exclusive wine dinner at JOALI Maldives with a meticulously selected selection of wines from La Scolca. The premium wines from La Scolca paired with a menu crafted specially for the dinner by the world-class chefs of JOALI Maldives are guaranteed to enhance the dining experience.

Sake Dinner – 14 October 2023

In partnership with reputed Japanese Sake breweries like Shirataki, Tochikura and Ginrei Gassan, JOALI Maldives will set the stage for a sake dinner at the Japanese-Peruvian restaurant of the resort – Saoke. Aided by the craftsmanship and innovation of these carefully selected breweries, the dinner is sure to transport guests through a nostalgic journey that highlights Japanese heritage at its best.

Ekaterina Alehina – 15-22 October 2023

Ekaterina Alehnia is the founder-chef of Biologie in Moscow and the first female chef in Russia to receive a Michelin star. Drawing inspiration from the concept of ‘circular gastronomy’, Biologie focuses on delivering mindful recipes with a strong emphasis on sustainability. During her residency at JOALI Maldives, guests can delight in a specially curated experience with Chef Alehina.

Theodor Falser – 15-22 November 2023

The multi award-winning Michelin-starred Chef Theodor Falser is no stranger to JOALI Maldives, having previously posed as the resort’s culinary consultant for its Italian restaurant, Bellinis. As a chef passionate about wild herbs and regional ingredients, Chef Theodor has discovered various tastes from different cultural backgrounds throughout his remarkable career. From 15-22 November 2023 and again in March 2024, JOALI Maldives will welcome back Chef Theodor to the resort, allowing guests to savour his exquisite creations and designs once more.

Nina Tarasova – 18-25 December 2023

Amassing more than 10 years of experience in the culinary spotlight, Chef Nina Tarasova is esteemed for her confectionary abilities. Trained in France but working in Russia, she often represents the country at different international festivals and forums and has led training and masterclasses in both her home country and abroad. During her visit from 18-25 December 2023, Nina will join the JOALI team to usher in the festive season in style and her culinary mastery is guaranteed to leave an indelible impression on the hearts and palates of all guests.

Alex Webb – 10-17 January 2024

After delivering an impressive performance on BBC’s Masterchef: The Professionals, trailblazing Chef Alex Webb went on to win the show in 2020. His main mantra is ‘food should be an experience’ and his dishes embody this idea via its creative flair and presentation. A unique adventure awaits guests in the coming new year as Chef Webb arrives to lead a remarkable culinary journey inspired by his travels and reminiscent of flavours from his childhood.

Hidemasa Yamamoto – 20-27 February 2024

Hailing from Japan and trained in France and Italy, Chef Yamamoto has garnered several culinary accolades during his illustrious career including multiple Michelin-star ratings. His dishes are well known for their eclectic flavours and meticulous attention to detail and he has immensely contributed to curating the menu at Saoke, the resort’s acclaimed Japanese-Peruvian Restaurant. Chef Yamamoto will make his comeback to JOALI Maldives from 20-27 February 2024, a visit that promises an exceptional and innovative fusion of flavours to guests.
