You & Me Maldives Welcomes 2023 With A Gourmet Week Featuring Michelin-Starred Chef- Andrea Berton

The adults-only beach resort is ringing in 2023 with a special celebration by bringing the anticipated “Gourmet Week” to the property. Hosted by the Michelin-starred Chef, Andrea Berton the week-long events will usher in a unique dining experience in the Maldives comprising a medley of flavours and aesthetic visual presentations.

From the 3rd to the 7th of January 2023, Chef Andrea Berton will display his authentic culinary creations accompanied by scenic vistas of the Indian Ocean. With the prospect of intriguing the senses, a series of gastronomical events are prepared to fully indulge guests during the grand Gourmet Week. Meet the Chef – 3rd January, 6:30 pm

An appointment with a seasoned Michelin-starred Chef is a rare opportunity to stumble upon. Meet Italy’s refined chef, Andrea Berton who boasts an impressive career in the culinary industry having worked in the field for almost three decades. The celebrated Milanese chef is held in high esteem by many cooks and enthusiasts alike, given his adept skills in curating magnificent cuisines and commitment to quality ingredients. During his culinary career, he has worked alongside some of the most well-renowned restaurants in Italy and opened a few of his own as well.

Chef Creation- 4th January, 5:30 pm

Venue: The Sand

The Sand provides the perfect ambience for a cooking show with its natural flooring and chic, rustic designs while surrounded by the lagoon’s calming blues. Here, Chef Berton will be displaying his culinary talents by presenting the ‘Chef’s Version’ of Black Sea bass, marinated Daikon, and fish soup at the cooking show. Afterwards, guests can sample the dishes while taking in the picturesque view of the cyan lagoon.

Master Cooking Class- 7th January, 5:30 pm

Learn how to cook one of Italy’s winning dishes- Risotto alla pizzaiola which was crowned as the best risotto in Italy by The Espresso 2017 Restaurants guide. Made using mozzarella water, the delicious recipe will remind the palates of the flavourful moments of a rich Italian summer. Guests seeking to participate in the class must book their seats in advance as limited reservations are available for the event.
