The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has participated in the Access Luxury Travel Show (ALTS) held in Prague from the 13-14th of this month 2023. The Maldives was represented by Exitix Marketing at the event, showcasing the enchanting natural allure of the destination and the various tourism products and segments featured in the Maldives. This includes resorts, hotels, guest houses and liveaboards and segments such as romance, honeymoon, family and diving among others.
The ALTS Prague was a two-day B2B workshop held in the Czech Republic that brought together corporate travel decision-makers, potential investors in the luxury travel and hospitality industries and numerous tour operators and travel agents connected with VIP clients under one roof. It also housed influential industry professionals from the Eastern Europe market.
MMPRC’s participation in ALTS Prague aligns with its marketing strategy to promote the Maldives to the Eastern Europe travel trade and increase the momentum of arrivals from the market across the summer months of 2023. As such, the corporation is investing in advertising the Maldives more actively in the region through effective integration in programmes and among consumers. This in turn would consolidate and strengthen the brand image of the Sunny Side of Life in the market, appealing to a larger audience.
In addition to this, MMPRC also aims to highlight the distinctive uniqueness of the Maldives compared to other destinations and through this increase the engagement of visitors from the Czech Republic and other neighbouring states in the region. The Eastern European market peaked for the Maldives at the end of 2022 with a total record of 100,667 arrivals. This year, this market looks to be very promising and is currently one of the top 10 markets for the Maldives.
