RAAYA by Atmosphere celebrates its first anniversary this July, marking a successful year since opening its doors on 4 July 2024. Tucked away in the quiet beauty of Raa Atoll, the resort has quickly made its mark with a blend of nature-inspired design, thoughtful experiences, and a storytelling approach that sets it apart.

In just one year, RAAYA has welcomed over 13,000 guests from around the world. The resort invites travellers to step into the whimsical tale of Seb — a shipwrecked artist who finds refuge on the island, living in harmony with nature. This narrative shapes every part of the guest journey, from the island’s design to its activities and family-friendly experiences.

RAAYA offers 167 beach and overwater villas, carefully set among lush gardens and crystal-clear waters. The RAAYA Residence, featuring a private infinity pool and sweeping ocean views, offers an elevated experience for those seeking privacy and luxury. Six dining venues across the island serve flavours that match the resort’s vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere.

The resort’s debut year brought with it international acclaim. RAAYA was featured in the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2025, placing it in the top 10% of listings worldwide. It also won “Opening of the Year” at the Travel Time Awards in Moscow, a significant milestone just nine months after launching.

As the Maldives continues to see a rise in tourism — with a 9% year-on-year increase in arrivals during the first half of 2025 — RAAYA stands out as a destination that blends creativity, sustainability, and heart.
