Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has participated in Malaysia’s premier travel event, MATTA 2023 held from March 17th to 19th 2023. The tourist board was joined by Maldives’ top-tier travel and tourism industry partners at the event, who are joining forces to promote the Sunny Side of Life as a top-of-the-mind holiday destination for the Malaysian and Southeast Asian markets.
MATTA 2023 provides a valuable floor for various service providers in the industry and travel trade to sell information about their intriguing and value-for-money travel options and is a wonderful place to explore business opportunities between potential partners. Moreover, the event allows participants the chance to unveil their exceptional travel experiences to visitors which MMPRC capitalizes on by spotlighting the destination’s beauty, luxury and safety to potential travellers from the markets.
Through participating in this event, MMPRC shared with visitors the most recent information about the Maldives, highlighting its various segments and offerings in the process. The leading 11 industry partners who also partook in the fair showcased their individual services and products to guests as well. MATTA 2023 also paved way for the corporation to meet with potential collaborators and maintain destination presence and momentum in the Southeast Asian region.
As of January 2023, Maldives welcomed a total of 3,398 tourists from the Southeast Asian market. Many activities are planned throughout the year for this region to further boost arrival numbers. This includes the Maldives Roadshow in Southeast Asia, Print Advertising Campaigns and media familiarization trips and participation in fairs such as ADEX Ocean Mission 2023, NATAS Holidays 2023 and ITB Asia 2023.
