The Maldives celebrates a significant milestone in tourism, surpassing 500,000 tourist arrivals in 2024. As of March 17th, the island nation has welcomed a total of 513,377 visitors, showcasing a resilient rebound in the tourism sector.

China emerges as the top contributor with 60,699 arrivals, followed closely by Russia with 52,385 tourists. Italy maintains a strong presence with 49,480 visitors, while the UK follows closely behind with 46,849 arrivals.

Other notable source markets include Germany, India, France, the United States, Poland, and Switzerland.

With an average stay of 7.8 days, tourists continue to flock to the Maldives, highlighting its enduring allure as a premier holiday destination.
