
Canareef Resort Maldives has appointed Leandra Worrell-Carrington as its new Assistant Training Manager, effective September 2024. This strategic move aims to strengthen the resort’s organizational capacity and improve the guest experience by introducing fresh training methodologies and perspectives.
Leandra brings a wealth of experience, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management from the University of the West Indies and a Master’s in International Hospitality Management from the University of Derby. Her career spans multiple sectors within hospitality, including Accounts, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, and passenger services in the airline industry. In 2019, she transitioned into specializing in Training and Development. Leandra’s career includes roles with renowned brands like Sandals Royal Barbados, Soneva Jani, Six Senses La Sagesse, and CROSSROADS Maldives, among others.
“My goal is to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every team member is empowered to grow and contribute to our collective success,” Leandra shared. Her ongoing commitment to professional growth is shown by her upcoming enrollment in the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic Learning & Development.
