Discover Eid On An Island With The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives

The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives is gearing up to celebrate Eid Al-Adha in a unique way with commemorative feasts, parties and parades all lined up for the Eid holidays. To properly welcome Eid in style, the resort has put together a stellar 3-day itinerary on the island, taking place at the property from 28 June to 30 June 2023.
On Eid day itself, guests can begin their day with a delectable breakfast at Kula, featuring a selection of Maldivian breakfast treats. An Eid Maali Parade will be hosted islandwide during the evening where Boduberu beats, vibrant costumes and a whole lot of fun will showcase the time-honoured Eid traditions of Maldivian culture.
At sunset, guests can take a seat with the Standard family for a cocktail sundown party, immersing themselves in the breathtaking orange landscape unfolding on the horizon. In the evening, guests can delight in a delicious ‘Jaafai Dinner’ at Guduguda accompanied by the live music brought by Filza. Following dinner guests can head over to Todis, where a local Boduberu band will illuminate the stage in a thrilling Boduberu performance that will be hard to forget!
On June 29th, a ‘Pure Lacquer’ experience will be hosted at Todis, enabling guests to catch a glimpse of the skilled artisanship of Maldivian lacquer art. The inspiring event might just tempt you to take one back as a souvenir! On the same day, Zara & Meera will arrive at the resort to deliver some grooves through some stunning live performances by the beach.
The last day of the Eid celebrations will be ushered in with a fun-glamour Pool Party hosted at the Main Pool of the resort. Guests can bask in the glorious warmth of the sun while savouring light bites and DJ mixes in the upbeat atmosphere. Bringing the rear of the program is the ‘It’s A BBQ, Baby!’ gastronomical affair held at the BBQ Shak. Get ready to go into a food coma with Middle Eastern delights such as shish taouk, shish kebab, juicy lamb chops, kofta and more served up to delight the tastebuds.
