Angsana Velavaru has announced the promotion of Ali Shareef to the role of Materials Manager, marking an exciting development in the resort’s operational leadership. Ali brings over 17 years of experience, showcasing his dedication, adaptability, and passion for delivering operational excellence.

Ali’s career at Angsana Velavaru began as a Storekeeper, and over the years, he progressively took on more critical roles, including Purchasing Coordinator and Purchasing Manager. His vast expertise in purchasing, logistics, and inventory management has been key to the resort’s operational success. Notably, one of Ali’s major contributions was implementing an advanced inventory system, which streamlined ordering processes, reduced waste, and delivered significant cost savings to the resort.

His deep experience working with vendors and managing supplier relationships has equipped him with invaluable negotiation skills. As he steps into his new role, Ali will focus on optimising procurement processes, improving supplier partnerships, and securing better pricing—all while maintaining the resort’s high standards and operational efficiency.
