Anantara Veli Welcomes David as New Resort Leader

Anantara Veli Maldives Resort has declared a new dawn where David took up his position as the one who manages all operations of the resort. The adults-only retreat, known by its calm environment and conscious attitude to the well-being, is bound to grow in the hands of the leader, merging the relaxed atmosphere of the resort with a more interactive and social one.

David told me that he would like to establish a setting where the guest can relax and still have good times with other people. He envisions areas where people will get to mingle during sunset cocktail, do barefoot dancing along the sea, and feel as a member of a friendly and home-like community. Such a state of equilibrium and oneness is echoed by the feeling he wishes to develop at Anantara Veli.

Only accessible by a 30-minute speedboat ride off Velana International Airport, the resort is home to a repertoire of over water and beachfront pool villas, which are meant to emphasize on light, space and civilized island living. The villas have direct access to the lagoon or the beach so that the guests could be in the natural environment fully. The Ayurvedic-inspired curated dining and holistic wellness experiences can also be offered to visitors.

Jason Kruse, Complex General Manager of Anantara Maldives, said he had no doubts about the leadership of David, saying he had good experience in the operations area and was a very warm person, which fitted into the philosophy of the resort. He also stated that David will improve the guest experience, and team culture, to make everything that made Anantara Veli an amazing island escape.
