The two latest dining establishments by Atmosphere have added to the already lauded food services, offering the guests a new experience of modern hospitality of the Maldives. The new Teppanyaki Over Water and Cellar at NÜ, which was unveiled in November, will provide a touch of art, taste and ambiance to food scene on the island.
Teppanyaki Over Water provides the customer with a first-line position to enjoy a vibrant Japanese food show on the lagoon. Professional chefs cook high-quality seafood, wagyu, and sushi using the perfect Teppan skills and producing the dish that incorporates entertainment and sophistication. This is accompanied with sake cocktails and good soju, which are served in a small atmosphere that resembles the Japanese bonhomie.
Cellar at NÜ provides a different sense with evening colours, laying on the ocean, but the sense of the calm, elegant and discovery-centred. This wine lounge that is over water welcomes its guests to sample rare bottles and selective choices in line with chocolate, cheese, and charcuterie. It has an outstanding experience, a six course Royal Wine Pairing Dinner, which is an elegant flavour journey.
General Manager Maurice Van Den Bosch reflects that the new venues are in keeping with the current efforts of the resort to focus on both intuitive design and creative eating. Both ideas, he says, were designed to provide a personal, enriching, and authentic experience to the spirit of the island of VARU.
The additions are intended to serve romantic dinners, celebrations, or guests who are just looking to experience something new, as they are pre-bookable experiences on top of the VARU PlanTM.
In the North Malé Atoll, VARU by Atmosphere remains known on an international level, and is ranked in Travellers’ Choice Awards, Best of the Best 2025. Its Kaagé signature restaurant is also the winner of its fifth consecutive win which indicates the good culinary image of the resort.
